How to get Credit Card Without Salary/income proof?
The only way to get a credit card without showing any income or salary proof is by applying a secured credit card against FD or by already having a very good credit score and a good standing bank account. Check out how I got multiple credit cards without showing any income proof from Axis, ICICI banks.
ICICI Bank Credit Card Without Income/Salary Proof
So, I got my first credit card from ICICI bank through a fixed deposit. I tried asking for a normal one but without a salary slip, they aren’t ready to give me one. So, I got it through the fixed deposit option. The limit of your card will be between 80-85% of the amount of your fixed deposit.
There are two options here. You can get the card instantly but the name on the card will be INSTANT CREDIT CARD or you can wait for them to ship in your address. In the latter option, your desired name will be engraved in the card.
Once you get this card against fixed deposit, now it is your duty to create your credit history and maintain a healthy credit report. With this you can get some cards without showing any income proof or ITR forms. Use the card for about 4-6 months before applying a new card.
AXIS Bank Credit Card Without Income Proof
This credit card came as a result of promotions from flipkart and axis bank. Did you know that Flipkart and Axis bank partnered for the Flipkart Axis bank credit card. It is one of the best credit cards in India besides the Amazon ICICI credit cards.
How did I get the Flipkart Axis bank credit card?
Well, after about a week from the launch, I applied for the card. The prerequisite for the card is to have an axis bank account and has to apply from the flipkart mobile app. I have an axis bank account for a long time.
If you already have a credit card against fixed deposit, it is better if you check your credit score. There are many free services that offer free credit reports. Some of my favourites are given below.
Citibank is offering Rs. 1000 Amazon Gift card for its new credit card offers. Check out the link below:
Even though it is not mentioned in the official information, you are expected to have good balance maintenance in your saving account. Axis bank periodically offers a pre-approved card to the customers. I applied for this card when there is another pre-approved card offer in my Axis bank mobile app.
At the time of my application, it was allowed only through Flipkart mobile app. All you need to do is fill up the details and your address verification is needed. At that time, there was only a phone call for the address verification and there was no physical verification from the bank side.
A customer care representative called me and asked me to tell my details. That was it. Next day, a SMS from Axis told me that the card is approved and the virtual card is generated in the app. Now you can use the card from the flipkart app.
What are the required documents for the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Cards?
Before we dig into the documents require for this card, let’s first scratch the basic requirements. The first requirement is that you should have an Axis bank saving account. The second requirement is that you have a Flipkart account with PAN card and ID verified. Now that you passed the basic requirements, let us dig in the other documents require for this card.
- Your PAN number.
- OTP verification your phone associated with your flipkart account and the Axis bank saving account. The same number should be in both Flipkart and Axis bank.
- An address proof like Voter ID, Adhaar Card or any other document that proofs your address.
During my application process, there was no need for physical verification. But, recently another friend applied for the same card and the bank representatives visited his home and checked all the documents. So, you will need to make an appointment for the document and address verification.
How long does it take to receive the Flipkart Axis bank credit cards?
It took about 2 weeks for me from the date of dispatch to the delivery date. My address is not in a metro so, this was expected. If you are in a major city, you can expect to receive the card within a week.
Is the Rs. 500 fee justified for the flipkart axis bank credit card?
First of all, let’s be honest that the total fee is Rs.580 including the GST. Now, let us do some maths. Are you ready?? This card offers 5% cashback with no limits when you purchase any product from Flipkart. Assuming all your purchases are from Flipkart like your clothing items, household items, kitchen items, you only need to spend Rs. 11,600. 5% of Rs. 11,600 gives you a Rs. 580 cashback. So, this means that you need to spend Rs. 966.67 per month on Flipkart in order to pay the annual fee of the card.
However, let’s assume that you are amazon fan and like to spend your online orders in Amazon too. So, let’s assume you are doing 40% spend on flipkart and the other 60% is on other platforms with the minimum 1.5% cashback. In this case, all you need to spend is Rs. 20,000. 40% of Rs. 20,000 is Rs. 8,000 which gives a cashback of Rs. 400 for spending in Flipkart. The other Rs. 12,000 on other platform will give you a cashback of Rs. 180 which makes up the annual fee of the card. This means you will need to spend Rs. 1667 per month provided 40% of the amount is on Flipkart.
So, I think that the fee is easily managed with cashback. You can absolutely apply for this card if you are a regular online user. I have already got more than Rs. 2000 in cashback only during the last 6 months.
What is the limit of Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card?
The limit of any credit card differs for each customer. Someone may have a limit of Rs. 25000 or Rs. 30000 or Rs. 150000 or even more. I got a limit of Rs. 65,000. One of my friends got a limit of Rs. 30,000. I think if you maintain a high account balance for some months regularly then you may get a higher limit. So, if you are thinking of applying this card, then maintain a good balance for at least 4 months prior to applying it.
Before going to the third credit card, have you ever experienced the problem of your debit/credit card being blocked from 3D secure? If so, kindly read the post below and check how can you unblock the 3D secure block from any bank.
The 3rd credit card from ICICI bank
I will be honest with you all. This third card has nothing do with my credit score or my income proof. I got this card as a part of ICICI bank promotions for students in major universities. So, almost all of my friends applied for this card who didn’t have previous credit history and all were accepted.
What is ICICI bank student credit cards offer?
ICICI is offering students of major universities and institutes their coral credit cards or the Manchester United Credit cards for free without any need to show any income proof. A few months back like in Nov-Dec of 2019, one of my friends told me that ICICI is offering this card in their institute and I was like why not in here.
So, God granted me my wish and in the month of Feb, 2020, ICICI is offering the same in our institute. I applied and it took about a week to get accepted. But took another one day for delivery after the card was dispatched.
What are the required documents for ICICI student credit cards?
First of all, you need to make sure ICICI is offering the same service in your institute. If not, you can try to organize a bunch of your friends and ask for an ICICI credit card at the same time and mention that you are a student of this institute and you heard that ICICI is offering this card to students in other universities.
After this, the documents are fairly simple and almost everyone will have these documents. The following documents are required for the ICICI students credit card application:
- 2 passport size photo of you.
- A photocopy of the student ID of your institute.
- A photocopy of your PAN Card.
- Adhaar card or voter card.
- Details of your parents and phone number
If you already have an ICICI saving account or credit card you can provide these additional details. This will make your new card automatically connected to your saving account. After some day, a phone call from ICICI bank to the number you provided in your parents contact details will ask if they know you. All they need to say is YES.
Now, all you have to do is wait for the SMS of acceptance. Once accepted, wait for another couple of days for the card to ship. Once the card is shipped, wait for another week for the card to deliver in your doorstep.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of ICICI bank students card?
One major merit of this card is that it is free for life even if you renew the card. There is no hidden cost. However, one of the most misconception of any new user about the insurance of the cards. Once you start using the card, within a week, there will be a call asking if you want card insurance. If you say YES, then there will be some charges for the insurance based on the type of the insurance you choose. This is totally different form the Credit card annual fees and charges. Just say, NO, I don’t want any insurance and you are good to go.
Another advantage of this card is that you will get the same benefit of any paid coral card or MAN United card offers. So, all the perks you get with a paid credit card, you will get it for free.
The next merit is that you don’t need to provide any salary proof or ITR in order to get this card.
Another merit is that you get this card for free. If you were to apply for this card normally, there is an annual fee of Rs. 500 plus GST.
The only disadvantage I can think of this ICICI bank students credit card is the maximum limit they are offering which is Rs. 50,000. YES, Rs. 50,000 is the limit they will give you. But, honestly I think Rs. 50,000 limit is perfect for a student unless you are some kind of heavy user.
Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card
This is an update that I got another credit card from ICICI and it is the most wanted credit card in India. The Amazon Pay ICICI bank credit card. I got this credit card without showing any income proof or address proof. All I needed was to enter my mobile number registered with ICICI bank. As I already have another ICICI bank credit card, ICICI online form asked me to enter the existing ICICI credit card number. Once it is entered, the new card details are generated automatically. If you have an ICICI credit card already, you can easily get the Amazon pay ICICI credit card. Remember, if you don’t have a saving account and an existing credit card, the process will be different. You will need to KYC verify your income and address proof. You can get a credit card without showing any kind of income proof even for the amazon pay ICICI credit card.
